Oxytricha cf. auripunctata

A slender, yellowish 18-cirri ciliate, with conspicuous cortical granules arranged in rows. Caudal cirri present, 5 transverse cirri, pretransverse cirri widely separated.

I’m calling it Oxytricha auripunctata, but identification of hypotrichs without silver stain can be uncertain.

From plankton in a sphagnum-enclosed lake, in the Mer Bleue Bog conservation area. Body length 130 um 1000X
