Enchelyodon armatus

Members of the genus have an oral protuberance, often surrounded by long cilia, and a cytopharynx supported by trichocysts. The species can be identified by its small size, and by its long, band-form macronucleus. The specimens in my samples are somewhat smaller than the size Kahl gives for the species (100 µm). This one is 83 µm when extended.
